You know Sam and Ella, “Radio’s Cooking Sweethearts”…these two were way ahead of the trend years ago when they launched their first radio cooking show. It was an overnight success. Now with the glut of cooking TV shows, you would think that they would be old news – but noooo….after all these years, they still bring cooking and entertaining to an exciting new level…and their audience can’t get enough of them.

Sam and Ella met in Cooking school many, many years ago – fell in love, got married and have been passionate about cooking and each other ever since. They then decided to bring their humorous personalities and practical, real-life perspectives on cooking to the world of radio.

Ella attended Cooking school in Chicago, as well as participating in the Second City Improv. Ella specializes in the art and techniques of cooking. Ella likens a recipe to a story – not to be retold the same way twice. She relishes the intimate dinner party, believes that cooking should be intuitive, and considers it her duty to make sure Sam doesn’t hurt himself while he cooks.

Sam attended Cooking school in Chicago as well and operated two restaurants in Chicago. Sam specializes in “Guerrilla” cooking and painstakingly seeking out the perfect gear for every cooking situation. He rarely remembers the finer points, often takes short cuts and alternative paths to the “End Dish”, and loves to cook for crowds.  Although he also believes that recipes are simply a story – he typically only remembers the last sentence.
